The service was genuinely relaxed and pressure-free, allowing me the time to inspect the car thoroughly—they even provided the keys before it was fully prepared, which demonstrated great trust and transparency.

Although there was a small delay on the collection day, the team managed the process perfectly, ensuring I was comfortable and kept fully updated. The Octavia itself looked fantastic, having been spotlessly cleaned and prepared for the showroom.

Last week Saturday I purchased a Peugeot 3008 and the service was the best I’ve experienced. They did a fresh MOT, and replaced the tension belt (had a minimal sound) and did a service on the car. They didn’t have to do this, but the fact that they did won my trust. They valet the car and polished the paint. Both Jacks and Harry were very friendly in person and never once came across pushy or annoyed with me spending alot of time looking at the car. They even let me test drive the car without them present. I was genuinely shocked how relaxed the experience was and can vouch your in good hands. Thank you team.

Having been badly let down by Evans Halshaw on their shock demise I was left in the lurch without a company to service our car along with the capabilities to look after all aspects of the maintenance. I can’t thank Rob and his team from the Gravel Hill Service Centre enough for sorting out the gear box and clutch on my sons first car. They took great care to make it road worthy again despite it being quite a tricky job on a very old car. My son is really delighted to have it back without the odd grinding sound! I was looking to replace a lease car that was due to go back and came to Gravel Hill. Very relaxed atmosphere, we were looked after exceptionally and found two cars we wanted to purchase. Everything was completed quickly and at no time did we feel pressurised to buy extended warranty etc. Very happy with both cars and the excellent after care when a faulty washer needed to be replaced with no fuss whatsoever. Bought a used car in their new garage. Although they were busying on moving stuff into the new garage, the staff are still showing their professionalism regardlessly on customers. The salesman is very helpful and kind on answering my questions in depth, with spending more time with me during the session despite his own duties. Whatever kind of used car you are looking for, I would recommend that you ask Jack at Gravel Hill first. I have mobility issues and getting in and out of a vehicle is a priority so Zak got a number of cars ready for me to test the day after my first visit and I didn’t feel pressure to purchase in any way. As it turned out, they had the perfect car for my priority and budget and after 6 weeks of having the car, it’s been absolutely fine.

The guys at Gravel Hill are very helpful. There were some technical problems with the payments to buy the car. They were understanding and helpful. On the Saturday morning, the payment of the balance was held as a pending transaction, and I’d resigned myself to waiting till the Monday to pick up the car. They monitored their bank account, and rang me around midday to say the money had cleared.
The car is very low mileage, but has the paperwork to prove it’s genuine. It was beautifully valeted, with a new MOT, and they resolved the advisory on the MOT.
Very happy with them and would thoroughly recommend them to friends.

I needed a car after my beloved old Astra automatic was written off. I found a 2017 Corsa automatic at Gravel Hill on the AA used car site that seemed a good deal. As I could not get to check it out I had the AA do a comprehensive inspection. Jack and his staff had no problem with this and were friendly and helpful throughout. No issue was found with the car and I went ahead and purchased it. Gravel Hill went the extra mile and delivered the car to my address, well outside their usual area. It was clean and spotless on delivery and came with two sets of keys, V5 and service history. The manual and ‘car pass’ were missing. The manual can be downloaded and the ‘car pass’ replaced. The whole process ran smoothly and I am happy with my new car.

Prices differed slightly from auto trader and there website although not by much. But start to finish the boys at gravel hill were amazing! I delt with 2 different jacks and Zack. All 3 of them were very professional and friendly. When I wasn’t sure of a few things they were not afraid to go above and beyond to help me out. My little Skoda is perfect. She had a few little dings and a split cable when I first saw it but the mechanics there did a fantastic job in making her look brand new again by the time I picked her up. Nothing is too much for the team there. Wish I could give more then 5 stars

In December, I bought a car from Gravel Hill Car Sales. On my initial inspection of the car, there were a few bits that I pointed out, and with out hesitation, the details were taken of the issues I found, and the parts were then posted to me, so I could get them fitted at my local garage. Fast forward a few weeks, up to last week(03/02/2024 a Saturday) , the car was making a horrific noise, and I took it to my local garage to find out what it was, and it turns out the rear pads had been worn out, and the reason for that was because the brake calliper had seized. I contacted Jack (on a Sunday morning)and mentioned this to him, again, without hesitation or any questioning, he asked me to get a quote from my garage to do the work. I have brought 2 cars from gravel hill, both fantastic cars. First one I part exchanged back, purely because I wanted something a bit more spacious.
There is no pressure from any of the guys there, I felt completely comfortable. Jack and the rest of the guys are great and if I ever need another car in the future, I wouldn’t go anywhere else (not so soon I hope though 😂)

Highly recommend Jack and his team. The car we bought was in great condition and well priced. There was a minor issue with the car, which Gravel Hill had fixed before purchase, but the issue needed looking at again by my local garage after we’d bought it. Jack paid this additional cost of repair, without any issues. Happy customer 🙂

We bought a Citron C4 from Jack in August 2023. After seeing the car once for a test drive, we chose to purchase the car. After a few things were picked up on the test drive Jack had the car’s wheel alignment checked again for peace of mind.

The car was delivered promptly the following week, but it hadn’t been cleaned prior to delivery. After contacting Jack he sent £50 via bank transfer for valeting and apologised.

After a month, when it started to get hot in September, we noticed that the air conditioning was broken. Again we contacted Jack and after it was recharged at the garage Jack immediately covered the cost of the repair (£163.99).

Jack has been very professional throughout. Having been burnt previously with a second hand car dealer, Jack was a breath of fresh air. We would thoroughly recommend his business and use him again.

Small problem with the car’s fuel cap a few days after buying. Gravel Hill sent a mobile mechanic to our house to fix it. The warranty is real! Highly recommended *****

You will not find a better place to buy a used car than Gravel Hill Car Sales. We purchased a small car earlier this month that was exactly what we were looking for at a great price. Gravel Hill sorted out a few little issues before we collected the car the following week. Unfortunately after a few days it was clearly apparent that there was a mechanical issue with the engine. After a couple of visits to their warranty mechanic in Portchester, it was unfortunately not a simple fix. Gravel Hill took the car back and gave us a full refund. Although we had a fair share of hassle with this car, it was not the fault of Gravel Hill and I’m sure there are a lot of dealers who would have been a lot less willing to sort it out. Don’t hesitate to buy a car from them- they will look after you if there are problems.

I have to say, I have a very long and negative history with car dealerships to say the very least. However anything that has came up with this place has been sorted so fairly it’s been unreal. Even going out of their way to help with things they didn’t have to help with. I’m honestly very surprised with their service and shocked at just how good it is.
